My Stang is getting it's third clutch in 3 years this week. The first shop did the first and second clutch change. After the first, the throw out bearing and starter fragged at the same time, okay, freaky stuff. Second clutch was installed and new starter, had a chattering sound when pressing on clutch pedal that goes away when released. The shop said just needed adjustment. Okay, so they adjusted it and the sound went away, but came back later in a few months. I've been having shifting problems lately so took car to new shop (specializes in hot rods). They dropped the trans and clutch today and I'm having them replaced with a Centerforce II. The mechanic shows me the second throwout bearing and it's center portion is loose as heck. Then he shows me the stamping, "Made in Mexico". Geez....Oh yeah, the flywheel looks like it was machined with a hand file. Double Geez..... ------------------ reliving youth
