I see where the "WORLD" 351W/to 427 CuIn stroker motor has a 4.125 bore with a 4.00 stroke. Now I know their blocks have a lot of "meat" on them for the .125 over bore. I am wondering what the "standard" bore and stroke for a 427 stroker on an oem block would be...could it handle more than a .060 over bore ???? Thanks in advance...

Eddie most I've seen use a 4.030 to 4.060 bore - 4.170 stroke.
I was told not to bore a stock 351w block used for street/strip past .060.
The world products is the first one I've seen with that much bore.

Thanks Ron......I just LOVE that "427" number.

Eddie, I don't understand your question?
"Do you know what bore they use with that crank"
With what crank?

BTW, Who doesn't love the sound of a 427w stroker.

Ron...what I meant was with a 4.170 Stroke that you mentioned, is it a 30 40 or 60 overbore...to get to 427 cubes.
For instance PAW uses a "seasoned 351W OEM block." I'm figuring they don't overbore more than .060 so I was just trying to find out what the stroke of the "crank" was to get to 427 ???
CAPISH ??????

Yeah now I understand

Eddie, with that stroke a .040 would give you 427,and .030 would give you about 425.6 something which you could call a 427

Use this site to add in any number to see the total displacement.

Yo dude,

You've told us your car runs:

- a 351W dart block bored 4.165
- venolia 16 to 1 pistons
- grp aluminum rods 6.200
- lunati 4 inch stroke crank
- super victor intake
- pro system cab 4150 model
- victor heads by kuntz
- special kuntz cam
- jesel belt drive
- powerglide

...and it's all packaged in a '65FB 'Stang.

You also told us you recently ran a few 5.9s in the 1/8th (is 9.20s in the 1/4).....

So when are you going to post some PICS of this killer ride of yours? I'm thinking it's got to look as good as it runs.....

Ryan
