I have After Market Wheels on my 89 Mustang,When Racing How Fast do You have to go before You have to use 3" studs on the front rotors? Or do You have to use 3" studs on all After Market wheels?

The rules pertaining to wheels and studs says that the threaded part of the stud has to engage the hex part of the nut by at least the diameter of the stud. This means that a 1/2" stud has to engage the hex of the nut by a 1/2". Any other shank or part of the nut does NOT count. Only the hex portion. ET doesn't matter. This applys to all cars.

Thanks Ben! What I was thinking was if I had to put londer studs in I would look for new Rotors...I didn't want to waste the time and money on cutting the Rotors and mabey them warping seeing they would be a little thinner.
