We finally made a carb pan to seal scoop freind has been after me to do this since I put the scoop on.
Went to track sunday and car was breaking up real bad at 4800-5000 rpm usually shift at 6000. We only got one time run so I just took it off.
Now I am guess that the pan worked and now the car is getting so much air it is really lean, am I correct in that assumpation.
If I am how many jet sizes should I go up to at least get it in the neighborhood of where it should be.
My friend keeps telling if i get it right that it should pick the car up a tenth or two

Jerry for me it was 2 jet sizes up both front and rear. I'd start there!
I'd agree a good cold air source is worth a tenth or two.

Normally the carb sealed to the scoop is worth a tenth in the qrtr. That's roughly 6 hundredths in the 1/8. If you see much more gain than that, it's an oddity, and not the norm.
