Well I have fitted my new aluminium rad, and what a difference I set the fan to kick in at 195 and the temp drops straight down to 180. Even after turning the engine off the fan does not kick in. I wish I had fitted it at the beginning of the year.

It was A Northern performance unit, I had to cut off the lower hose mount, and weld it back on at a different angle.

Question that fits with this thread: do you still need a thermostat if you're not running a heater in your vehicle?

yes you still want a thermostat. it regulates the flow through the radiator for the engine temp. ------------------
