Sorry if this is old news. Didn't see it posted here anywhere. Very sad sight! Close your eyes if you're queasy! Vintage Race wreck [This message has been edited by 66HIPO&more (edited 07-27-2005).]

Whew! I checked the link and counted 13 cars mangled. I think of sights like that every year when my club, The Music City Mustang Club, hosts an open track event at The Nashville Superspeedway. I do race control duties from the main tower. I decide when to put cars on the track, bring them off and when to throw caution flags, etc..I am thankfull we have never, in five years, had a sight like this. And I hope we never do. I can't say enough about my feelings for those involved in this vintage racing accident. Tracy

I race a 1969 Fastback in Historic here in the UK. Last year I had a heavy crash and my car ended up looking like the Boss in the picture. Weird part is my Mustang is also yellow and is also race number 3. All up and running again now though and you wouldn't know it happened. Looks like a lot of nice machinery got hurt in the incident shown, great pity. Cheers, Martin

Certainly lifting the damn thing with a crane strapped around the roof isn't helping the damage any... the front clip is a fairly simple matter, a kinked roof would be very tough to fix. Sheeesh, what happened to good old fashioned tow trucks?
