As you all know I'm going to put the 351C inn the 67 Cougar, I've had a question bugging me about the trans. Currently I have a new rebuilt SB C6 in the Ranchero, and a questionable C4 that I pulled out of a 70 Maverick that had a 250 I6 with 220+K miles. My question is to put the C6 in the Coug, would I have to get a different length driveshaft? Or should just rebuild or invest in another C4?

Thanks
Derek

It's a lot cheaper to have a driveline cut and balanced than it is to have a transmission rebuilt.

Another question is, what are you going to do with without a transmission in the ranchero?

The Ranchero is getting a 429 and a BB C6. Just have to rebuild or get another trans, for the 429.
