I was thinking about getting a 750HP I hear so many good things about the HP's. Was just wondering if it really was that much better than the DP. What kind of ET could I expect to pick up over my DP.

Given your combo, if your current carb is decent, probably not much. Your limiting factor is heads, not the induction.

We can't get my 750 to run right, and since I hear so many good things about the HP, I was thinking about just buying a new 750HP cause I am tired of messing with the 750DP. Have actually been running a 650DP for the last 4 races.

Jerry--before investing in a HP call Quick Fuel Technology 270-793-0900 Bowling Green Ky. Marvin, the owner, was the original Holley designer of the HP, he went into business making carbs. Their "Q" series are equivalent to the HP only better, in my opinion. I'm running a 750 Q on my 347 with no regrets.------------------ Mike Golliver MCA Gold Card Judge-Modifieds 65 Kcode coupe 347 stroker modified 5-speed MCA Retired 66 convertible-3 dueces and a 5-speed with a 289 89 T-Bird Super coupe 01 Mustang GT Convt

Jerry, I went from a 4779 Holley 750 DP to a BG Mighty Demon 650, and finally to a 750 HP. The 750dp ran okay except for a slight off idle stumble. I cured that with a bigger shooter on the primary side. I went to the BG because I liked the smooth venturis of the main body. It seemed like an upgrade to the Holley. When the BG was right, the car was real fast, but I had to take the carb apart every 200 miles or so and clean out all the crud left from the factory. I got tired of that, and bought the 750hp. 5000 miles and this carb doesn't miss a beat. Very happy with the carb right out of the box. I think the BG had a bit more low end, but the 750hp has much more on top. ------------------ 71 Mach 1 351C Tremec 3550 3.89's (mine) 99 Mustang GT BIG injectors 75mm throttle body 5-speed 3.73's (sons) 03 Mach 1 (daughters) 02 Mustang GT Convertable 5-speed (wifes) 65 Mustang Road Race car (mine)
