Not to hog the thing out, just to match the transition from the runners to the ports; how far up the runners should I go with the burr? ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

Anyone? Beuler? I'm thinking .400-.500 up the runner to ease the transition... sound good? ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

That should work. I used to know more about this, but one thing I do remember is, the ideal intake runner is 1/8" smaller than the port in the head (and that came from a 'how to article' written in conjunction with the main man from Wilson.)

If I remember correctly, it had something to do with velocity entering the port. Anymore that that and it would create turbulence, any less and it wouldn't have any effect.I sure wish I still had those articles.
