The online chain store sites list the same part # points distributor for a 390 and 428, so I would assume the 75-76 Duraspark (listed for a 390) will also fit.

A friend of mine has one on the 390 in his 69 F350 ramp truck/race car hauler. Works great.

You can use it with an MSD box. No adapter needed. (They do sell one, but you really only need it if you use a Ford coil with the horseshoe connector ). Just wire it up per MSD:

The reman Durspark distributors genrally run around $40 + core charge at parst stores.
