hi i was looking online and saw a 354 stroker from a 302. http://www.speedomotive.com/ford_302_to_354.htm i know of 347's but is 354 to much for a standard roller cam block? any info would be nice im thinkin bout building a stroker over the winter and just gathering ideas Jay

does ne body know if 354ci is to much for a standard block to handle? 4.030 bore and a 3.47" stroke crank and 5.315"rods

Just out or curiousity, but why wouldn't you go with a 351? I'm not sure how small the engine bays are on the triumphs though. I would think after 347 you'd need to move up to an aftermarket block. Thats just thoughts though, no experience. Hopefully someone else will move along and help you out with some hands on info.

there isnt much more room. to do a 351 i would need to redo my mount plates and i cant do it here at home id have to take everythhing to my uncles. it would prob fit but it would be very close and difficult, the 302 i can just drop in and go. the website with the kit doesnt say ne thing about needing an aftermarket block so that is why im curious

Seen a 354 run three seasons turning 7G.+ every weekend. When it was torn down, it was cracked from main bngs up to cam bngs with one cam bng spun, was still running tho.

Isn't the 354 kit just a 347 kit with a .060 overbore??

comet-it is a .030 overbore and a 3.47 stroke. the 347 uses a 3.40 stroke cracing- do u remember what type of block they were using?factory or aftermarket
