chandler Journeyman Posts: 59 From: Madison, CT Registered: Jan 2005	posted 06-08-2005 10:40 PM Im planning on swapping a V8 into my 68' Coupe and I can get a running 72' 351C and FMX for not too much $$$. Now I am thinking of what else I need to get for the swap. For motor mounts I use small block correct? What about transmisson mounts? How different is the wiring to the alternator and starter than in an I6? I know Im going to need a rearend, driveshaft, radiator, new coil springs, 5 lug spindles and brakes, and fuel line. Is there anything I am missing IP: Logged
majik455 Gearhead Posts: 121 From: duluth ga usa Registered: Jan 2005	posted 06-09-2005 04:37 PM lol ill sell you a whole 71 with the items you mentioned - dizzy and rad. . but from proir posts youll need springs motor mounts good flowing 2 core rad a min. i would think more 3 core or a griffen alum. I beleive alt would stay the same but im really unsure on that. the motor mounts are all the same for 289 302 351 (w and c) trans mount holes should be their youll need the brace. if nothing else ask someone to post picks of there 351 dropin so you can compare. ppl love to show off their goodies.
