I used to run a Stewart Warner in a chrome pod on the cowl of my old race car. I never had any trouble with its performance or reading it. I just didn't remember to look at it enough. In more recent time I use an Autometer isolator with the gauge in the car. The isolator is attractive and it has those nice stainless steel lines attached to it that make it so aesthetically pleasing.
