How do I remove the choke plate from a new Holley. The plate looks like it snaps into place. Not screwed on like the other carbs I've had. It has 3 raised spots on the plate that hold it in place.
Without the choke plate, nozzle changes would be a lot more easy.

ron, it is just wedged in the slot on the rod. just open up the slot with a screwdriver and pull the plate out with a pair of pliers. then the rod will slide out one end. i just hope you arn't planning on useing it again.

I was hoping that I could reuse it. Isn't there any way to get the plate off and be able to reuse it again?

Ok this is what I learned from Holley today. BTW they seem to be real helpful and easy to talk to.

If you have a clip in plate like I do. This is how you remive it without breaking anything.
"The choke plate just "pops" out of the choke shaft. Open the choke
plate 3/4's of the way. Place the end of a phillips screwdriver in the
notched spot on the bottom of the choke plate and the shank of the
screwdriver on the top lip of the rear of the choke tower. Press down to
"pop" the plate out of the shaft. It can be reused."
Thats what Holley tect told me. It takes alittle more then just light pressure. But one quick tap with my hand to the screw driver handle the choke plate popped out.
Now if I ever want to I can just put the rod back in the choke tower holes. And press the plate back in.
Hope this helps some one else.
