Currently I have access to a wrecked (smashed in the front) '94 3.8L convertible Mustang. My fiance's sister totaled it, so now it's all mine. One of the things I am thinking of grabbing is the starter.

I looked on an online parts store website and found that the part number is the same for a starter for a '94 3.8L and 5.0L, as well as the same for a '93 5.0L. So, it should work on my 302/C4, right? The C4 has a 164T flexplate.

Also, since I have the old-style starter soleniod, couldn't I just run a jumper wire from the "switch" post to the "battery cable" post on the 3.8 starter solenoid? Thanks!

Thanks Alex. What kinds of things would you take off the car to go onto an '87 coupe with a 302/C4/8.8 already installed?

Let me know what your doing with the seats?

This helped me with my mini starter.
