Did you do any real world research( on clocks) as to how much ET was gained by using aluminum in place of steel? Theoreticly, due to reduction in unsprung weight plus in rotational mass it should produce some gains. Just wondering if the gain is emough to offset the cost.[This message has been edited by cracing (edited 04-27-2005).]

A solid one hundreth in the sixty foot back to back, with no other changes. They enabled me to get 1.39 sixties in SS/MA at 3250 lbs. I was never able to accomplish that before at that weight. May not seem like much to some, but when you are looking for every thousandth as we are in the performance catagories, it's a lot.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." An .01 is enough in some cases to win or possibly set a record and as you said when you are striving for even a .001 gain it would be worth it. Do you have them for Centerlines & long 1/2 in studs? How much?

Tip here, cut those long wheel studs down or get shorter ones if any extra is hanging out past the nut it's dead weight.
