Sizing up lakewood scattersheild (T-5) style, noticed the clutch fork from my T-5 setup is too short by 1.25"

Some people say that their factory clutch forks are long enough with a lakewood S/S.

Sounds like some T5 clutch forks might be longer than others?

Anyone have any experience with this, what application uses the longer fork?

I'm pretty sure the FRPP catalog offers a longer fork.

On my 85 Mustang, I recently replaced my Lakewood T5 scattershield with a McLeod unit, (switching from the T5 to a Jerico). Both work fine with the stock lentgh clutch fork, although they don`t stick out of the larger "can" section as far as the stock aluminum bellhousing. The hole for the clutch cable in the block plate & scattershield on both is in the factory location. Now, you may find the threaded end of an adjustable clutch cable may rub on the scattershield, but you could trim the unused end.

I can't remember where I got my clutch fork, but I guess it's not a stock T-5 part???

The part # is D9ZC 7515-BA

I guess that decodes to a 79 Mustang, I guess Ford went to a longer fork some time after 79. Anyone have a part # handy for the longer 80 something T5?
