I am having the stock distributor of my 351W-4V set up and would appreciate some advice. The advance is totally mechanical. The engine likes 18 degrees at idle. I've read in previous topics to limit the total timing to 34-35 degrees. I use 93 octane pump gas and most of my driving is between 2500 and 3200 RPMs. How is it determined at what RPM the total timing should be all in? If this info is needed, I've got the Ford Racing A332 cam, wide ratio 4-speed and a 3.25 rear. Any and all advice is appreciated. TIA

I've read and been told that it's best to have full timing in by 2500-3000rpm
