Michael car looks great. How do you like that trans cooler? Does it keep the oil cool enough? Do you use a trans. temp guage? Last question how did you connect the an lines to your trans?.

Loaded up with one stocker only.
You guys will have to guess which one.
Tony's back injuries need healing so he is sitting this one out.

He'll keep you all updated on what's going on.
Qualifying starts tomorrow.
Thanks for the well wishes.

When I put in the bigger radiator I had to move the fan to the front and reverse it to push the air as it would not clear the bolts on the pulley. I had a radiator style trans cooler on the front which I had to remove. I had the one in the radiator but added the heat sink type due to my nephew said with how much he spent having the transmission built it should have the extra cooling. I am trying to find a gage that I can put in line on a 1/8 inlet like a presser gage but have not found one as of yet. All I know is if you grab it that it is pretty hot after a long drive. My nephew put the lines on and I only changed the ones on the cooler side. These are the best pics I can get not being able to see where I am pointing the camera.

Hope Tony feels better soon and that Beth's car runs well in Indy.

So far, there is nothing posted for qualifying. I did talk to dad and hes mad 2 passes so far, the first the track was crappy but the air was awesome. The second was the exact opposite. Alot warmer, and a good track surface. Once I know more I will post it. I can tell you that sitting at home SUCKS!!!!!

Don't I know it. With luck I will have a car that will run down the track this year. I haven't been racing since 1981, how stupid is that.

Well after the 2nd round of qualifying, dad is #85 out of 126 cars. Third round was this morning and he had said there seems to be about 140 cars in Stock alone. Hopefully there will be a final sheet soon and a ladder so we can plan strategy. Also from Vegas, Mark Tallent is out there running as is John Calvert of Cal Tracs. I dont know what time they run for sure though out there.

Results are posted on www.dragracecentral.com

Also, check out the pictures. There is a black Falcon running the 8.90 super comp class shown, but I personally like the Mustang of Jimmy Rau at Vegas and the challenger thats pointing for the sky!

I'll post more when I know more.

John, I can bet you feel like I do. When we were loading stuff up, I tried sitting in the car since we had to start it and stuff. I was fine until I had to shut it off and get out. I figure had I been there, Id be hurting alot more than I am right now. I do have to see an orthopedic spine specialist on tuesday As long as Im ready for the Joliet Nationals, I dont care what we have to do!!!!!!!!!!

Lastly for now, I didnt see Ray Paquet on any listings for qualifying. Guessing the car wasnt ready.

The ladder is posted. Dad will have to race the C/SA 68 1/2 Cobra Jet Mustang of Doug Baker. Qualified #102 out of 128 spots accepted. There are 140 cars that made runs trying for those 128 spots.

Out in Vegas, the west coast Ford gang is doing well. After 1st round, Mark is still in taking out a former 2 time national champ Jimmy Defrank. .003 light helps and he ran .01 under the dial in. JD was .03 under his dial. Gary Williams with the SS/MA 64 Comet also won with a .005 light, dead on with an 8.......... (thanks to live broadcasting) As far as I remember, only 1 Ford loss in round 1.

Well, they ran 1st round finally, about 2 hours late. Dad broke out by .05 running 12.72 on a 12.77 dial in. I think when dad hit the brakes, the spoiler broke the beam rather than the tire.

In vegas, looks like almost everyone lost in rd 2.

Alex,

I hope I didn't jinx you by calling you while you were in the staging lanes getting ready for first round of eliminations.

I had my cell go off in my shirt pocket (set to vibrate) when I was staging the car. I was all harnessed and wearing a fire jacket. There was no way I could get to the phone, but it distracted the hell out of me.

Did you fellas get to run your T-Bolt?

Steve, I don't think you jinxed me.

Call anytime about the parts.

I drove well enough I thought, and I still don't understand how I broke out by that much on the brakes based on the incremental numbers down low.

Ray Paquet was not there.
