Can anyone tell me if the ride height is changed after doing a 1" 'Shelby Drop'on a 1967-1968 Mustang.
I understand you're able to achieve more neg. camber, it's just if it changes the ride height.I have Global West arms if that matters.

Im getting conflicting answers.
some say 1" lower
some say 3/4"
some say no ride height change at all.
Thanks

Now Im more confused.

I called Global West, they said it actually raises the car a little

So, I called Pro-Motorsports they said it lowers the car 3/4"

As a person that has done this it will either lower the car about 3/4 in. or make no change according to what type, and how old your springs are. I would have to say no height increase.

I did and lost about 1/2 an inch, maybe 3/4.
Ended up too low for me so I put some extra thick coil spacers at the top (from mustangsplus)
If Global west thinks it raises ride height they must be thinking of something else because it certainly doesnt raise the car.

The car is supported by the spring in the shock tower that rests on the spring perch on the upper A arm - and youre lowering one end of the upper A arm. if you lower it 1 inch at the end, it stands to reason that if the spring is mounted about halfway along the A arm then the mounting point will fall about 1/2 an inch (the spindle end of the A arm doesnt change height because the wheel stays put).
Boy I need a white board.
