Hello All, trying to purchase a new set of clutch plates for a rebuild and was wondering which might be better from Summit Ford Motorsports or Ratech? ------------------ 69 393W Sportsroof Deluxe

Thanks Alex, forgive my ignorance, but is there a difference between the one that summit offers from Ford Motorsports vs. a local dealer? I hate to say it, but the local guys are usually high on the price.

I would call Summit's 24-7 tech line and ask if they are US made. If so, chances are that they are the same as Ford would supply.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Well I took your advice and called Summit the guy was nice but could not answer where the Motorsports one's were made but he did give me Motorsports number and after a long wait found out that they were US made. The TL is for my 9 in. and I am installing a 3.89 third member that a fellow member sold me to help get rid of some noisy gears I have. Should work well with my AOD. ------------------ 69 393W Sportsroof Deluxe
