"The all new, 450-horsepower, six speed Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 is expected to cost slightly more than the current SVT Cobra Mustang, which has a list price of around $35,000."

I?m still amazed by Fords effort in designing the 05 Mustang. I don?t think they?ve put that kinda effort into the Mustang design since the sixties and early seventies. What a Homerun, what a way to get back to the grass root Mustang! I heard a news blip that Ford is upping the production numbers of the 05 Stang by 70% due to the current demand.

How about a slightly larger car based on the same platform available with the exact same motors. Can you say Torino? I bet they'd sell a pile more or them than that boring 500. B

The Marauder is not exactly the same plateform. Full sized, basically a Ford Crown Vic if I'm not mistaken. Old platform, not really high power, boring looks, etc. I'm thinking more mid sized base on the Stang, available 450hp motor etc. Not likely to happen though as I'm sure they would be afraid it would cannablize Stang sales. But Chrysler is doing it with success. 300C, Magnum, Charger (should have been a 2dr or at least available as either), etc. If the Charger would have been a 2dr the Mustang may have had some company. Maybe with the sucess of the Stang Chrysler will do some RWD 2dr model with the Hemi. It would be more fun if the Stang had a cross town rival. B
