You have a point there. .Let me put it another way,why were they made, the heavy duty 351C block with the XE casting number? Were they made with racing in mind or for something else? Hans ------------------

Supposedly, some of the blocks that didn't pass inspection (for racing purposes) made their way into Australian production vehicles. There were also some oddball SK part number blocks. Kaase said he came across an SK block that had thicker walls than my XE but didn't have the thicker mains and non-scalloped pan rails. Dan Jones
