I am getting ready to put the 302 back into my wifes Fairmont and because of her headers being in the way of starter access .I am wanting to use the smaller sized Factory Ford starter that will work with a 302/c-4 set up...It seems I read someplace that the one I need would be one from an eighties mustang 5.0 ? Is this right?------------------ http://maverickgrabber.iwarp.com

1991 and newer are the real small ones, the 81-90 are just a bit smaller than the 80 and earlier types.

mav, also remember that the selenoid is built into the small starter. you cant use the one on the fenderwell any more except for a connection point.------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-302-7.25 @93mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://community.prestage.com/Member+Pages/789.aspx M&M member #839
