Hi Guys, I've had my 3310-6 750 Vac tuned on the dyno, the mixture behaves itself at WFO but the primary Jets are like 82ish (can't remember off the top of my head), so the thing runs a little rich cos the secondary metering plate is down round the low 70s equivalent jet size Now, I've just bought a Proform body, Primary Metering Block and a Quick Fuel secondary plate conversion. Roughly what sort of jet split (I remeber hearing about 12 sizes for a DP?) should I run with the secondary conversion plate? I basically need a starting point before dynoing to sort out changed carb body...Ben Thanks Ben

I'd start with 72-78 or keep them 4-8 jet sizes apart front to rear. Those 83 front jets seem real fat to me. Do you use a power valve if not them go 10-12 number apart.

I recently put the Proform center section in a 3310-2 750 vacuum secondary carb and on the chassis dyno on a 428 engine it was happy with 74-76 jets in the primary side and 76-80 jets in the secondary side. I used the stock 3310 primary metering block in the front and purchased the generic Holley metering block for use in the secondary side. Engine was roller cammed with good head work and used for road racing. The air fuel ratio numbers were very good expecially compared to the other carbs that were tested at the same time.------------------ Ted E. Big inch Fords are plenty fast, but Y-Blocks's are fun when they run in the low 9.60's @ 135mph.

Well, I put it together, and the front jets weren't quite as fat as I remebered... so I set it up with 72s in the front and 78s in the sec Seems to go awesomely hard now much betterer than the stock 3310 body with the milled choke tower....better throttle response too. I'm getting the jetting checked out on the dyno tomorrow... we'll see how it goes.. Ben

I bought a Pro Form main body for the 3310-1 that I run on my 428CJ Fairmont, but it`s been sitting on the shelf for 3 years so far. Did you guys use the air bleeds that come with the body? The instructions don`t really mention much about the air bleeds.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. So, I ran the falcon on the dyno, they didn't have time for a tuning sesion, just a quick power pull and mixture check.... anyway, i needed to drop to 5.5 pv to lean up the cruise, up it to 73 on the primaries and 81 on the secondaries to sort the A/F ratios out... So basically its gone from a 72/75 combo on the 3310 body to 73/81 on the proform... and has picked up a bunch of response and prolly 15+ hp... I'm happy...
