Topic: Question about fitting Axle Shafts

Well Guy��s the diff is built and back in and I am about to fit the axle shafts, I have new Moser units. The question is do I put any sealer in the axle housing were the bearings fit in?

My Mosers had O-rings in the axle bearing's outer race. If you didn't buy your bearings from them, they might not have those O-rings. If not, maybe some silicone sealant on the retainer plates? JD

Steve,I put a light coat of silicone in there even with the o-rings. SteveW

Hi Guy's, Yup I did the bearings from Moser, and yes they do have o-rings on them. I think I was having a senior moment, it's been a long week!!! Thanks JDSteve I might do as you say a put a light smear of sealant there just to make sure. Thanks
