What do all of you think of the Edelbrock performer cylinder heads? I am thinking of going with their matched package of heads, cam, intake & carb. Opinions good or bad please so I can make an informed decision. Or is there a better setup? The 65 will be a 302 w/5 speed with 3.50 rear gears, & the 69 will be a 302 w/AOD 4 speed auto with 3.50 rear gears. Both will be used for cruise nights & occasional weekend drives.

Heads yes, RPM or air gap intake is better as standard performer dies about 5500 RPM.
Pass on the carb and cam from Edelbrock.
You know my cam pick.
Nice 4150 Holley Avenger or DP.

I believe he likes the 270S (which is a small solid) for most street applications.

It's a good cam that will peak out about 5800 rpm, and pull hard to around 6200.
