66 convertible, 289 A-code, C4 atuo, with factory intake and autolite 1.08 carb, electronic ignition, 3.55 gears. If I do a 270s cam and headers, what would y'all recommend for a stall speed? I'm thinking 2400-2600? Would recommendation change if we switch to an AOD? Thanks, Scott

If you aren't going to race it Scott, I would get a stock Falcon 11 inch unit. You may even have one laying around. It has about 2200 stall and that is plenty for a zippy street car. Won't murder your fuel economy either.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! Ditto. In my street car I have a Comp Cam 265/273 cam and Performer RPM intake on my 351W and love my TCI Saturday Night Special Converter which they advertise as 500 RPM above stock, whatever that is.I haven't bought a Posi set-up for my axle which seems to have 3.20ish to 1 rear gears and I can roast my rear right tire just fine. ------------------ Deep Amythist Pearl 68 Coupe, 351W, C-4, Troq Thrust D's 215/60/15 up front & 265/50/15 with 4.75 inch back spacing on rear

They used to be a dime a dozen at the junk yards or converter houses. Very little demand for them as Falcons were down on sales.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
