What would be a good set-up for drag?

Springs?

Shocks? How about Competition Engineering Adj.?

I have a granada font disk set-up I want to use? and still keep rear drums. What do u think?

Rear is tubbed w/4 link suspension and coil-over springs.

Leave the 6 cylinder springs.
Granada brakes are very heavy for racing and have a lot of drag.

The springs I have now have spacers? Should i leave alone or replace? If replace what springs should I use? Or should I look at a coil-over set-up?

Is it a good idea for front disk brakes conversion? If so what kind should I look at?
(I want to upgrade the suspension in front)Arms, springs, front sway bar front disk brakes). I currently have a strong pull to the right when I press the brakes.

If you can afford new stuff, then Wilwood medium duty Mustang kit is best.
If your springs are in good shape why replace them?
Loose the spacers.

The car sits low as it is with the spacers and if I remove them It may drop down even lower.

Would it be ok to use the wilwood set-up in front and leave the stock drums in back?

Shocks in front - Would Competition Engineering adjustable be ok?

If the old springs are all fagged out, then replace them with stock Moog or Elgin non AC V-8 65-66 Mustang springs.
I ran Wilwood disc on the front and stock drum rears for years.
C&E shocks are a waste of money. If you want cheap get the Summit house brand. Same shocks as C&E only white and cheaper. Both made by Gabriel.
If you want to step up we can offer you the best unit around. QA-1
Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

My research found:

Wilwood dynalite pro series w/hp rotors.
Moog springs & summit drag racing shocks.

Since the suspension is original, will stock replacement suspension be ok(upper/lower arms)? Is the V8 front sway bar upgrade ok?

If it's being drag-raced, ditch the front sway bar entirely. It's nothing more than unnecassary weight in a dragcar. Plus it hinders the front end rise not allowing the weight to transfer as fast as it should.

Medium duty is what we usually recomend as they are about30% cheaper than the pro series.
As KV says, no sway bar required.
Modify stock suspension componants with upgraded bushings and lots of sweat.

MM has modified stock upper and lower arms.
SO does KV's car and we both wheel stand with the best of them.

Medium duty is what is on the front of my car, and it stops better than anything else I've ever driven. It stops well enough I can make the first turn 1/8 mile racing from 110 mph.

Alex, could you elaborate on the "upgraded bushings" for the upper and lower control arms? You must be replacing the entire shaft assembly on the upper? I will understand if you are reluctant to give out your hard earned secrets. Without giving up too much info could you point me in the right direction? Thanks

Same shafts, just a lot of massaging on them and taking out all the serations on the bushings.
Biggest thing is my greasable bronze bushing spring perch.

I will be installing the Moog spring and I want to know how will the ride height be?
Will i have to cut the springs?
Rims/Tires = 195 75 15

Also what kind of front tires do u recommend? Currently I have Cooper tires.

How does it handle over the stock one?

Do you have springs in front if so how did you get that ride height? Cut springs...if so what kinda springs are you using and how much did you cut?

I guess your asking me. If so Thanks. It needs painting for sure...lol..
Right now it has stock small block springs on it. The first pictures were the old springs that are worn out. I just got the motor back in it(FE 447 stroker). So the new ones havent settled yet. They have not been cut. I was thinking about maybe cuting one coil off, but have been told that will not help other than dropping the car down. It will not let the front lift right. So time will tell. Here is a direct picture of the saddle and spring.
