I'm asking this for a 'non Ford' friend that is needing to rebuild his traction loc. Where is the best place to buy a kit to rebuild it? He needs clutches, springs, etc. He really doesn't want to go thru Ford since they over charge for everything.

One of the best stocked and reasonably priced vendors is Ratech here in Cincinnati. They advertise in all the rags and may have a web site. If I come across it, I'll pass it along.
