I haven't driven the car yet because of the weather. I will this weekend. If it performs half as good as it looks I'll be very happy. I've always had a problem with sticking a $30 piece of plastic with four holes in it in between my $300 intake and $500 carb. The theory of how it's supposed to work certainly makes sense to me. It's pricey, but when you see one of these units you can certainly understand why.

Up until recently one of the best kept performance secrets around. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and ModeratorAlex, you're soooo right! First time driving the car with the four hole tapered spacer today, and to be quite honest I really didn't think I would notice any difference. Boy, was I wrong! Very easy to tell the difference, Feels like 25-30 hp! I'm verrrrrrry happy!

Is your car running now? Otherwords will you have something for a comparison? I hope so because I really think you'll be amazed.
I had my car car on a chassis dyno a couple of weeks ago, and I plan on going back and trying another pull with only the spacer as the change. I have since gotten an education on chassis dynos on this site since my first visit to the shop, and realize my hp #'s may be off a bit (high), but I'm hoping I can get an accurate indication of the spacer's worth if I go to the same shop and same operator.

I just bought one to use on my 331 build-up. Should have it on the dyno in a month. I'll post numbers with and without the spacer.

Illinois/midwest winters suck, tracks are closed! Plan on switching it at the track, so I'll have a back to back comparison, from 1 inch open Morroso to 1 inch tapered Wilson. Your dyno pulls should be interesting!Roger

I am assuming the Wilson spacer is just like the Super Suckers? I had a 4150 1" and 2" Super Sucker and I thought the quality and design were top notch. I never got to try either one since I run a Dominator and couldn't find anyone close that had a 950-1050 4150 carb that I could borrow for the dyno. I with Wilson or somebody would make a modern 4150 to Dominator adapter with the same concept engineered into it.------------------ Kent '68 Falcon wagon stock 289 '65 Fairlane 500 wagon 10.5:1 351W '78 Fairmont wagon 10.5:1 302 '76 Pinto wagon 392 stroke '01 Focus SE DOHC 2.0L '04 Explorer XLT 4.6 3.73 trac lock What is this FE fixation for which there seems to be no real cure? Something about wanting to spend twice as much money to go half as fast for one third the number of passes between explosions and not being able to find parts to fix it when it does explode. Not the same at all. Super sucker is a cheap immitation knock off. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
