Providing I ever get to the point to collect it, what is the procedure for collecting contingency money? I know the basics...stickers and having the part on your car, but I've heard you have to have receipts, etc.?

It all depends on the posting manufacturers requirements.
It is different in all the sanctioning bodies.
Some are as simple as decal and product verification, others require proof of purchase and/or product serial numbers.
The biggest names pay within 90 days or so.
(Mr. Gasket, Comp, Crane, Edelbrock)
Some pay on the spot (like Valvoline), some within a week (like Jegs, Summit, Royal Purple, or Aeromotive), some take a year (like Manley adn Holley, and some never pay at all (like Weld).

Thanks man....
At the last race we had a form to fill out, and there were decals to pick up if needed.

*rant* - I'll keep this short, though I could go on forever...

Why can't the requirements be the same for all manufacturers in the program, and have those requirements be simple for the racer? Why does it matter WHEN the product was purchased? Isn't the idea if contingency to be doing advertising for the company via the contingency decal? Personally, I'm more impressed by a product that a racer was continuing to use after five years, than one that was recently installed.
*end rant*

Simplification and standardization is something that many of us have been begging for. NHRA,IHRA,NMRA,NSCA,NASCAR,ARCA are all different.

The biggest crime is the double standards in both NHRA and IHRA.
The sponsors sign a contract to pay the pro catagories within 30 days.

THEY MUST PAY THE PRO WINNERS AND RUNNERS UP WITHIN 30 DAYS!

There is no such aggrement for the sportsman racers.

All the manufacturers are required to do is pay us within a year.

Now that sucks!
