anyone using comp cams magnum 270h...i'm thinking of using this cam in my 89 mustang gt racecar its a 302(non roller) w/ a holley 650dp and flattop pistons and what kinda intake are you running?.i just finished switching fenders, doors, hatch, ground afx,all the wiring(from bumper to bumper)interier, dash, seats, headliner, carpet, glass from the 87 onto the 89 so its time to think about a engine combo, its going to be a c-4 with a 8.8 something and the biggest tire that will fit a gt without rolling the quarters any idea's. thanks,John

John, I use that cam seems real mild in my 351w. But it does pull real hard from idle to 5000rpm I haven't had the motor over that yet. Thats with a 351w 10-1 comp RPM heads and intake,C-4 and 3.40 gears. Hope that helps alittle.
I think 9.5" is the widest tire that fits without alittle fender work.

It will be act 'bigger' in a 302 than a 351. Of course, I'd recommend a solid lifter unit for any racing.

That's the cam I run in my 302 with Windor Jr iron heads. It pulls really hard with the 2.79's I have now. Should really liven up with the 3.55's as soon as my ring gear bolts get here....
