65stangman Journeyman Posts: 49 From: murray ut usa Registered: Feb 2005	posted 02-06-2005 03:50 PM I have a 65' mustang coupe with the 200 in it and my carb the ford 1100 choke is stuck to the full open position. It's 30 degrees here so cold starts are impossible I have checked the choke line and inside for vaccum and they both have suction but still its open anyone had this same problem or know how to fix it? 69 Sportsroof Gearhead Posts: 2124 From: Valley, Alabama, USA Registered: Mar 2002	posted 02-13-2005 09:22 PM Is the tube from the manifold to the choke housing still connected? I'm basing this on the 2100 that I had the same kind of problem with but if there's a metal tube from the exhaust manifold to the choke housing then you may want to remove the choke assembly from the carb and make sure the vacuum port is clear. This port allows the hot air from the manifold to be drawn through the choke which warms the spring and undwinds it. My was plugged with what looked like dried mud. Once I cleared that out it worked like a charm. IP: Logged
