Do you guys think that stock DOOE 351w press in rocker studs will be OK to use with a comp 270h cam (.500) lift ? The heads already have been profesionally ported and have all new valves (1.84/1.54 with a 3 angle valve job. They will be used on a daily driven street car that will get driven hard occasionally. I will also be using some of the comp cams magnum roller tipped stock type rockers (self aligning). I've used bigger cams without issues. Keep springs around 90-100# at installed height and avoid coil bind and rocker to stud interference at full lift and you should be fine. ------------------ 1966 Mustang Coupe: Custom glass hood and BIG scoop sits atop a 289 stroked to 331 c.i., Steel crank, rods and girdle, TFS alum. heads, Stealth 8020 intake, Xtreme 268 Solid Roller, Holley 750 HP, long tubes, 4speed, 9" 3.50 posi. 11.50 @ 116 mph (7.33 @ 93 mph)daily driver! Spring pressure will dictate weather they will hold up or not. At 90# or so they should be OK, but I would still rather see them at least pinned.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! Very easy to do yourself. Minimal talent or skills required. You will need some 1/8 roll pins, a good angle drill or a real long bit. You basically drill a hole through each stud boss and stud about 1/4 to 1/2 inch down. Then tap the roll pin through until flush. Just like a distributor drive gear pin. About 3 hours work for a first timer.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
