I have a dual Edelbrock 600 quad setup on a 428. It has a mechanical Holley fuel pump. What regulator would you run and how many lbs? Their tech page says 4.5lbs at idle. Is this right or should I set it differently? I don't know the specs on the pump. All I can find is a 15 on the tag. PO put it on. Problem is too much fuel to carbs and floods up through carbs. First time start after setting along time. Will check the needles and floats to see if stuck also. Any other advise would greatly appreciated.

I prefer the Aeromotive regulators, but in your application almost anything will do.
The cheap Holley/Summit or a NAPA units are OK.
Set the pressure to 6 PSI at 4000 RPM.
Those carbs do not like much fuel pressure.

One day when your car grows up, you can get some real carburators and use those Jimmy Carters for what they are best suited.

Thanks for the reply. I agree about the Jimmy C's. PO owner put them on. They are brand new. Thought that I would use them for now but will eventually replace them. What would you suggest I replace them with? Who knows, may even replace them now.

A nice pair of matched ported secondary diaphram 600-650 Holleys.

I have a new 670 street avenger double pumper with vacuum secondaries on the cleveland. Would two of them be too much? The regulator and carb clean up did the job today. Pretty rich yet though.

I'd need to know more about the rest of the engine, especially the heads.

Don't feel bad Wayne. The other day my Edelcrap powered car backfired and boy was I happy not to be buying any power valves or having to modify my holey to make it hold up.
