After having problems with the motor dieing during the cam break-in i decided to pop the valve covers off to inspect and found that 6 of the 8 rocker arms had popped off of their mounting position on one head and about 5 rocker arms had popped off their mounting position on the other head (rocker studs too short), after taking the spark plugs out i spun the motor over and found that their was a ratcheting sound comming from the bellhousing area so i took the inspection cover off and the ratcheting sound is comming from the bellhousing/transmission area however i cant figure out what it is (maybe torque converter not seated properly), What do you guys think? Also 2 of the lifters seem to have come out or popped out of their holes and are resting in the lifter valley. I also found some very small flakes of metal under the valve covers in the oil under the valve covers (small amounts), Is this normal? How can i make sure the bottom end is okay?Sorry for all the questions, help me out if you can. Thanks.

You need to pull your intake and start your valve train assembly/adjustment from scratch. One cylinder at a time, in the firing order.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
