WOW! There's been rumors over the past few months but this is really sudden. The Eddyville home page has a brief paragraph or 2 by Buck introducing himself. I assume he's one of the Buck Brothers race team that is a big part of the Ozark Mountain Super Shifters group. That must also mean that Gary moved out of the brand new house on the track grounds. I wonder if Wes Buck knows anything about the business end of running a racetrack. He talks about a once a month heads up series for this year. Could be interesting. ------------------ 63 Falcon 377 Cleveland stroker Flying Toilet alchohol injection. 6.19 @ 110 MPH 1/8 mile 2002 Ranger FX4 daily driver 2000 F350 PSD Crew cab dually - Like commuting in a B52!! 98 US Cargo Phantom II 28'

My double agent reports that 3 longtime employees at Eddyville told the owner that if the manager(Gary) came back for 05 they wouldn't be back. The racers committee that had been disbanded some time ago has been resurrected and with several new members. A dialogue is being built for feedback and new ideas to try to make the track profitable. My worm also reports that the Buck family tried to buy the track in 03 but could not get a deal put together. If this was done a couple of years ago, maybe there would still be a IHRA Pro Am event at Eddyville. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! Fat chance. After Bader stepped down, IHRA was gonna kill Div 5 regardless of what little ole Eddyville did.

If Bader would have stayed, so would have division 5. Had Karl Moyer listened to Bill Bader and believed what the Pro Am racers said about Gary and his treatment towards us, we would have been more inclined to support the event at Eddyville. Worst participation on the entire division 5 trail. 2000 was the only decent race and Gary ran us all off then. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS! And he started running off the weekly racers soon after that.
