Since I decided to pass on the Mallory, I ordered an Accel Points Eliminator kit for my stock distributor. I've been reading that you can use a Duraspark cap on a points type distributor. Summit has three different Accel performance cap and rotor kits. One of them is held on with screws so I know that one's out but the other two are very similar. ACC-8224 and ACC-8233. Both are tan alkyd type with brass terminals and male posts. Can anyone tell me which one to get? Also, is the cap a two piece unit? If so, will the kit come with both pieces? If not, where do I get the bottom piece?Thanks.

Well, I figured out which one to use but I still need to know if the kit has everything I need to install the cap and rotor.

FOr about 1/3 the cost you can get a Motorcraft cap adapter, rotor, and wide cap for your FoMoCo distributor.
The cap adapter has the clips for the new cap.
You existing distributor clips hold the adapter.------------------

The accel set from summit is about $18. Is the motorcraft set a dealer item or can I pick it up in a parts store?Thanks.
