I'm asking for some help? Is there anyone here racing a fox body mustang with a removeable top or t-top's, I found a 89GT roller that looks like it has a removeable roof(t-top) the people are calling it a sunroof. Is this a good idea to use this as a racecar or not? I was thinking about switching all of my body parts and interier from my 87GT over to this one. Thanks for anyones help on this.

It's a T-top car and from what I've been able to read, there could be some serious rigidity issues in a body that was alreay a flexible flyer of sorts. Nothing a set of sub-frame connectors and a cage won't fix, though.

It's a T-Top car John. A cage and sub frame connectors will take care of any concerns you have.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Before you buy, look carefully at the car from 20-30ft away. I have seen severl t-top cars with a distinct sag right in the middle. If you cage or subframe it, you shouldnt hurt it yourself, but if its already bent I wouldn't touch it.

turns out it was a sunroof car...it was a crummy picture taken in the fog+it was under a pine tree and one of the branches was hanging down in front of the roof and made it look like a t-top in the picture
