Congratulations. Alex once warned me about a galling problem the Ford titanium valves had. I'm out of town and don't have my notes so I don't recall if they were the Ford Muscleparts valves or later Ford Motorsport parts. I think they were the old Muscleparts valves but you might want to pass the part number by Alex.

What are you doing for headers? Remember there are two different bolt patterns for the A3 exhaust flange. One has a top row that's lower than the other. If you're having custom headers made, make a tracing of the bolt pattern and send it to the header manufacturer.

You mentioned the guy you got the A3's from also had a set of C302B's that are unported. Are they for sale? I'd like to build a backup to my primary motor and am making port mold of my C302B's, so I'd like to find a set of unported heads.

Dan, why C3 and not Blue Thunder?

Buster,

The C302 and Blue Thunder heads have different exhaust flanges so my headers would not interchange. Also, the intake port is different, so my intake manifolds would not interchange and the independent runner EFI intake I'm using is not available in a Blue Thunder port. There isn't much choice in intakes for the Blue Thunder heads. For my application (high performance street stroker engine in a Pantera), I think the C302B heads are a better fit. In the lift regions I'm interested in, my C302B's flow very well with excellent velocity (332 CFM at 0.600" lift with 217cc ports). The Blue Thunder heads have a very large bowl area which Art Francis (of Blue Thunder) said wouldn't maintain velocity that well at lower RPM.
