I want to change out the front coils on my 68 coupe. This car is used for the street and drag racing. I want to change to a six cylinder spring the problem is all the mustang houses list the same spring for six cylinders and small v8 for that year. Is there any difference between the two. For 66 and 65 mustangs they list seperate springs for each engine. Are there any difference in the springs used on 65 & 66 that they could'nt be used on a 68? Alex you are using the Moog spring #8088 can this be used on a 68 also?------------------ 1968 coupe 351W, Bored.030,Stock Crank, Stock Rods,Decked,KB Hyper. flat top pistons. No Jerry I did not get the stroker, It was sold before I called about it. I do have the motor out and at Smith Racing Engines for Bobby to freshen up. I'm going to put a set of AFR 185 heads and some Eagle rods in it for a little more insurance. Thanks Alex I'll check our local NAPA store and see if they can get them. ------------------ 1968 coupe 351W, Bored.030,Stock Crank, Stock Rods,Decked,KB Hyper. flat top pistons. I would look for a shop that does springs and sometime they will also do brakes (not the chain shops). They should be able to tell you what stock springs are for your car stock wise and give you the spring rates. I bought a set of generic leafs springs from a vendor that said that all Mustangs used the same springs. Three years later they flattened out and I had to replace them. I found a shop a few towns over that their only business is car and truck spring. The guy there told me that each car (body, engine and trans wise) had different rate springs.------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55
