i'E HAD A SET OF HEADS IN THE GARAGE FOR A WHILE NOW AND ALWAYS WONDERED IF THEY WERE WORTH REBUILDING FOR SOME EXTRA PERFORMANCE SUCH AS REPLACING THE E7 ON THE 88 GT?] Code on the valve face area is D80EAB? I think they are from a 351 windsor. Anyone have a clue?------------------ 67 Mustang F/B 302 GT-40X FMS engine RPM Air Gap 600 Holley ceramic coated headers T5, cable clutch Flows X Pipe 3.89 9". Don`t do it! Those heads are crap compared to your E7TE`s. Those heads are the same for 302 &351W`s, the only difference is that the castings used on the 351 have larger head bolt holes. They have larger 69cc chambers, so you would lose about 1/2 point of compression, valves are the same size as your 5.0 heads, but the exh ports are worse. Scrap iron, in my opinion. Now, a pair of 69-70 351 W heads would get you slightly larger valves & ports, & a slight compression boost, but personally, if you want to stay with OE iron heads, I would do up another pair of the E7`s,& have the 351W sized (or even larger) valves installed. A buddy did that, plus a mild port clean up on his E7`s, and pick ed up over 4/10s in the 1/4 mile on his street driven Mustang.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. I had a pair of those before. I found that they greatly improved the performance and 60' times of the Mustang! The 1/2" bolt holes were perfect for bolting them to the trunk, and the extra ballast really helped. We have since upgraded to a weight box filled with lead. SteveW
