I have the Ford Racing-Chinese Made-Chrome thermostat housing on my Cleveland. I took it off the change thermostats, put it back on and it keeps seeping. I took it off, filed it flat, and siliconed both sides of the gasket and put it back on. After letting it run for about 15 minutes, I noticed its leaking again. I'm sick of that cheap piece of crap! Does anyone make a good one that is actually metal?

I've never had one of those cheap chrome housings leak. I have used them on several different blocks without any problems.

But all that I have use an O-ring instead of a gasket.

2 years ago when I installed the housing, I kept the oring on it and it leaked as I was filling it up. So I pulled it off and just used a gasket. It didn't start leaking til last year and I filed it smooth and it just started leaking now again. The only problem with the 460 housings is they are at a 90 degree angle. Otherwise that would work great.

460 is a different animal.

Ford makes a good one. You get one free with every engine.
