What will milling the choke horn on a 750 vac sec do to the jetting? The engine spec is:
351C, .030" over
hypereutectic flat top pistons, 10.4ish compression.
CHI 185cc 3V heads, matching intake manifold (6.25" tall)
Holley 750 Vac sec (I think its got a 9.5 pv, 90ish main jets)
Cam is 218 degrees @ .050" lift, .519" max lift, 276 advertised duration, 110 centres, 2 degrees advanced.
4 into 1 longtube headers, 2 1/4" twin system.
Basically, I want to mill the choke because at the moment the K&N XStream lid sits on the choke tower due to the drop base in the shaker and the need to get the shaker under the hood...... It was dyno tuned with *no* air filter setup, and is rich with the filters in place... Can I safely just mill the choke and leave the jetting?

Ben

As a rule of thumb, the proceedure gains about 50 CFM of air flow.

It doesn't do anything.
In theory, if you increase the air flow, you should need to increase the fuel supply.
It all depends on how close you are now.
You may not need to do anything to your jetting at all.

Thanks, I'm not hugely experienced with Holleys... could make a good gues at how I'd have to change the jetting in a Mikuni flat slide though.... lol
