I'm looking for any advantage I can get this coming season to improve my ET! I'm wondering if a transbrake is worth the investment or not?

Does anyone have any real world ET comparisons between leaving off the transbrake compared to foot-brake?

Inquiring minds want to know

BTW My combo is a 3200# car with stock rear suspension, 347 and 5000stall converter.

If you have the suspension and tires to handle it, a trans brake would offer some substancial gains.
Too hard to predict just how much as traction and ability to apply HP are great variables.

Like Alex said, it depends on many things. That said, when I used to run a C6 behind the 428 FE in my Fairmont, going to an Art Carr (Ford Motorsport) trans brake picked my car up a full tenth in the 60 foots, about the same at the end. This was leaving at WOT with the trans brake, in my case 5200 rpm. While "foot braking", the highest I could get it was 4500 rpm. A few concerns, if you are havy any traction issues, chances are a trans brake will only magnify them. Also, if you have any "weak links" in the drive train, you will find them in a hurry. With the brake, I broke one ring & pinion, and 2 driveshafts. I never broke any of this stuff foot braking.
