I notice that a friend of mine, Ed Schmeeckle
is on the list. He is said to have won 5400 dollars about a tenth of what he spent, maybe a fifth.

Brings to mind an old saying about how to make a small fortune racing. Start with a large fortune.

Morgan Lucas is there twice, he made three times as much running a few races in Top Fuel as he by having a good full season in Top Alcohol.

Some of those racers travelled the whole circuit and made $10,000. That probably doesn't cover the fuel bill.

I'd like to see a list of the sportsman bracket racers. I know the "hitters" made more than a lot of the pros.
