I just installed a center force dual friction clutch in my 65 falcon. I have noticed that when you start to pull the clutch out (engage), That it hisses. I notice the hissing noice more so when the car is cold. Also my pedal pressure dosen't feel as tight as my old stock clutch, Shouldn't the dual friction pedal pressure feel a little tighter than my old stock one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. _________________

Actually, the Dual Friction pressure plate will net a lighter pedal effort than many others. My car is so loud, I couldn't tell you if the clutch is making noise or not IIRC, Centerforce does recommend a 500 mile break-in prior to full throttle loading of the clutch. Who's got that kind of patience ? ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html [This message has been edited by V8 Thumper (edited 11-22-2004).]

V8 Thumper - thanks for the help, I didn't know that centerforce recommends a 500 mile break in for the clutch. That's good to know, I hope I haven't damaged anything because I have made a couple of hard runs down the highway. Thanks once again.
