For our stocker, who makes the best? With 55 % of the weight on the front they better not lose grip to easily. Best run so far with Hoosier radials are 11.57-115 with a short time of 1.55.Hans ------------------

I ran the C07 Hoosier 94" circ this year and they worked well. I had the best of a 1.38 60'. I've heard good things from the light weight C06 Hoosiers. You run more pressure in those since most of the weight is taken out of the sidewall. I plan on dropping to the 92.5 circ lightweight Hoosiers next year and going from a 4.88 to a 4.56 gear. I should be running a bunch more mph (much more hp!!!) next year and need to bring the rpms down a little. I guess the MT's are pretty light too but we have good luck with the Hoosiers. For consistency, its hard to beat any bias ply but they are slower as you know.

Quickest and fastest tire is the 6502 Goodyear. We have tested them all. Lifespan is 45-50 runs max.Hoosier is a good compromise. About .03 slower. Decent performance and great life. 100+ runs. M/T is the most inconsistant. Pheonix is fast on good to perfect track only. Inconsistant roll out. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Did you test the newer light weight Hoosiers? We found on a B/SA car that they(the LW 06 Hoosiers) were worth about .05 over the tires that I run(standard radials with 07 compound). I am sure it is due to the reduction in rotating weight. I don't think we had any spinning issues. It seems when we do spin, we completely blow the tires off, although that is pretty rare.

Yes we did. Back to back They wanted to show me that the new tire was faster than the 6502 Goodyear. It wasn't. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Also, I think that most of you know that we only use radials in "go fast" mode. We run biased ply tires on all 5 cars most of the times. The radials will last me two years and we have the same set for Tony for going on 4 now.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! What's the best way to store slicks in the off season? How do you keep them soft? Any tricks to preserve them so they'll last a long time? Thanks------------------ 68 Cougar XR7, 428 4-speed, Best ET 6.82 @ 101 1/8, 10.69@ 127.44 with 1.51 60 ft. Street legal all steel car w/ full interior.

Air them up high. 30-40 lbs. Store them on their sides out of sun light. Wipe the side walls with a decent dressing. Soak a rag in bleach and wipe the tread surface liberally.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS!
