Ok, found the keystone wheels i had will rub on the back if i go over a bump, they sit out way too far with a 2.5" backspacing compared to the stock 4", and the rims are an inch wider too.Anyway, i'm looking at new wheels, now my car being a heavier car i'm concerned about load ratings, and what they meen. I was wondering in a drag racing application where there is good weight transfer, enough to unload the front and lift the tires off the ground, if this would excede the load rating capacity. Or is load rating a static rating, and not and instantanious (sp?) rating. here's the prob, car weighs say 3800lbs, wheels rated at 1200lbs each, so between the two rears would be 2400lbs, quite a peice shy of cars weight. Even without lifting the front off the ground it could be enough of a transfer to break the wheels if it's an instant rating.

1200 x 4 = 4800Unless your car only has two wheels, you shouldn't have a problem.

i'm hoping it will, and it wouldn't even need all the weight on the rears, only 63%it's probably heavier than 63% on the front under hard braking, if not at rest. [This message has been edited by Dubz (edited 11-19-2004).]
